Downhill Ski and Snowboard

Scouts can earn the Snowsports Merit Badge or winter sports ranger elective at Sleeping Giant Ski Area, only 3 miles away! With over 800 feet of vertical, two terrain parks and terrain for all abilities, Sleeping Giant is a hidden gem.

Cross Country Ski

Scouts can learn this 7000 year old skill on the 25+ km of groomed trails of the Park County Nordic Ski Association just minutes from camp.

Snowshoe

Scouts can learn to travel cross-country in winter on a pair of snowshoes.

Backcountry Adventure

Just out the back door to our basecamp lies endless wilderness possibilities. Travel off the beaten path while pulling your gear in one of our equipment sleds. Practice sleeping out in a snow shelter that you helped build with your fellow scouts. After this, you will be a skilled winter traveler ready for adventure in the 4th season.
